Love. Sometimes we wonder, how can such a small word mean so much? In our lives, we found a hundred and thousand definitions of love. Love varies for different people, young and old. As one author Joshua Harris once said “Love is a patchwork of a thousand of indescribable moments”. Many people fall in and out of love many times in their lives and once in our lives we all experience this thing called LOVE. For many people it’s the sweetest thing on earth yet it can also give you the worst heartache you can ever imagine. In the same way, love can make the world go round but it’s also the same love that can stop the world from spinning.
A lot had been said about love. But the greatest definition I have ever known is the Agape love. It is doing what’s best for the person regardless of how you feel. It’s fighting towards your negative emotions-anger, hatred, bitterness against what is best for the other person. It is LOve.
The second greatest definition I have learned about love is found in the holy scriptures which states,”Greater love has no one than this than one lay down his life for his friend”. To love is to sacrifice even if it means losing your own life. The best example to the world is how God demonstrated His love by sending his only begotten son to die for our sins.
Perhaps love is the most renowned and overly-used word in the English dictionary. With all the mystery behind and with all the magic this four-letter-word comprises, nothing can ever equate to its greatness.
After all, Love originates from a supreme being who is omniscient, omnipotent and omnipresent and who is—LOVE Himself.
